SAVEMEDCOASTS Stakeholders Participatory Workshop and training activities “Sea Level Rise: Evaluation of the current situation and identification and prioritization of mitigation-adaptation measures”
Venue: Lefkada and Kefalonia (Greece)
Within the framework of SAVEMEDCOASTS, three participatory workshops are implemented, one in each of the participating countries (Italy, Greece and Cyprus), involving selected stakeholders from areas of interest in each country. The workshops are organized in two sessions: 1) a specific structured participatory discussion method on issues related to the current situation of the areas of interest, identification of gaps and needs, and as well as identification and prioritization of possible solutions to address the effects of sea level rise; 2) training activities concerning the results on the coastal hazard scenarios for the pilot sites and the Mediterranean region. During the training, the cartographic tools of the WebGis will be shown and users will be instructed to visualize the sea level rise and extreme event scenarios in the pilot areas.
